Drone Works & Fleet

A deliberately structured fleet, matched to the mission.

Cinema, agile imaging, thermal intelligence, mapping, remote operations and immersive FPV โ€” no single drone is optimal for every application.

Fleet architecture

Three capability classes, one operating standard

Platform selection considers the required output, sensor, operating environment, endurance, portability, weather tolerance, regulatory complexity, crew model and client system integration.

Cinema & documentary

Platforms: DJI Inspire 3; DJI Mavic 4 Pro

High-end aerial filmmaking, documentary capture, commercial production, agile photography and location work.

Enterprise & industrial

Platforms: DJI Matrice 400 RTK; 4T; 4E; 4TD; DJI Dock 3

Thermal surveillance, industrial inspection, mapping, measurement support, public-safety observation and dock-compatible remote operations.

FPV & immersive content

Platforms: DJI Neo 2; DJI Avata 2

Dynamic fly-throughs, social content, controlled close-proximity sequences and immersive first-person-view storytelling.

Selection principles

Output first, complexity last

  • 1

Output first: define the final decision, report, map or film requirement before choosing the aircraft.

  • 2

Lowest suitable complexity: use the simplest platform that can safely and credibly deliver the required result.

  • 3

Sensor fit: distinguish between cinema image quality, zoom detail, thermal information, mapping geometry and FPV movement.

  • 4

Environment fit: account for weather, obstacles, people, electromagnetic conditions, launch area and communications coverage.

  • 5

Compliance fit: identify airspace, site permission, VLOS/BVLOS, night, people and privacy constraints during design, not after mobilization.

MissionPrimarySecondarySelection rationale
Cinema / broadcast masterInspire 3Mavic 4 ProChoose Inspire for RAW, interchangeable optics and dual control; Mavic for agility and smaller crew.
Documentary / location coverageMavic 4 ProInspire 3Mavic covers more locations efficiently; Inspire supports premium planned sequences.
FPV fly-throughAvata 2Neo 2Avata for dynamic professional movement; Neo for lightweight, low-footprint concepts.
Thermal inspectionMatrice 4TMatrice 4TD4T for mobile project work; 4TD for repeatable dock-based programs.
Security observationMatrice 4TMatrice 4TD4T for rapid field deployment; 4TD for persistent approved sites.
Mapping / photogrammetryMatrice 400 RTKMatrice 4E Delivers millimetre-level LiDAR mapping to capture high-accuracy 3D terrain models through dense vegetation and objects.
Remote scheduled patrolMatrice 4TDMatrice 4T4TD integrates with Dock 3; 4T remains the mobile alternative.
Emergency overviewMatrice 4TMatrice 4E4T supplies thermal and zoom context; 4E supports mapping and damage documentation.
